Strong winds, high seas delays start to Nova Scotia's LFA 34 lobster season for at least two days

The start of the fall and winter lobster season in southwestern Nova Scotia has been delayed for at least two days because treacherous southerly winds and anticipated high seas may make setting traps risky.
The season was to begin Monday along Nova Scotia’s South Shore and southwestern region, but there was plenty of uncertainty Friday about the weather, said Frank Quinn, area director in Yarmouth for Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
