WTO finds problems with US shrimp duty rate assesements for Vietnamese shrimp exporters

Earlier this week the World Trade Organization took issue with shrimp anti-dumping duty rates imposed on Vietnamese exporters by the United States in their three most recent dumping reviews. Several issues with the Department Department of Commerce's (DOC) duty rate methodology were discussed in the panel decision and it remains unclear how these findings will impact the rates against the shrimp exporters.
The WTO found the DOC violated various articles 9.3 of the Anti-Dumping Agreement and Article VI:2 of the 1994 General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade agreement.
