Unusual decline in Select-sized live lobster prices credited to supply surge ahead of Nov openings

A surge in larger sized lobster landings out of the Bay of Fundy and ahead of Canada's comparably larger November openings, has contributed to an unusual decline in the live market for Select sized product to start the week.
Yesterday, traders reported to Urner Barry that prices for live, Select-sized lobster in New England fell 10 percent or $0.75 per pound compared to last week’s figures.
This drop in Select prices is quite substantial and has been attributed to landings out of Canada’s Bay of Fundy fishery...
