Whole Foods launches $15 million national quality/value ad campaign

Austin, Texas based Whole Foods Market will launch its first ever national advertising campaign today, focusing on quality and value, a new angle for the brand still haunted by its “Whole Paycheck” nickname.
As an expanding array of competitors emphasize better buys and bite away at the organic giant’s market share, Whole Foods is looking to transform its brand after a series of disappointing earnings reports.
“They are both trying to emphasize the higher quality of their products and how you can get it at lower prices,” said Kate Wendt, equity research analyst for Wells Fargo Securities.
