GAA, IFFO, Lyons and Morrisons issue statement on social responsibility in aquaculture feed

One of the themes at the recent GAA GOAL meeting in Vietnam was that social issues have become a key aspect of sustainability certifications in aquaculture, even though there is no agreed upon metric other than enforcement of existing laws that parties can agree to.
However, the use of trafficked labor on fishing vessels supply fishmeal components has become a key concern. As a result, companies and standards organizations are searching for platforms to address this issue.
