Bangladesh's shrimp exporters say global black tiger shortage is sending prices higher

Prices of shrimp in the global market increased by 10 to 40 cent per pound in a month due to supply shortage of
black tiger all over the world, industry people said.
"The price of 16-20 count shrimp is now $ 8.60 to $ 8.88 per pound and one month back the price was $8.48 to
$8.58," Lockpur Group of Industries deputy managing director Khan Habibur Rahman told the FE Tuesday.
The price of 13-15 count was $10-$10.20 that was $9.50-$9.80 per pound. The 21-25 count is now $7.60
-7.80 which $7.20-$7.30 per pound. The 26-30 count is $6.40- $6.60, which was $6.20-$6.30.
