Hyatt Hotels commits to ASC as part of goal to have 50% of its seafood sourced responsibly by 2018

Hyatt Hotels has committed to source seafood certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) as part of a corporate commitment to have over 50 percent of its seafood come from responsibly managed fisheries.
The hotel chain said it will initially focus on key species such as salmon, shrimp, grouper, Chilean sea bass and tuna. There will be a clear preference for ASC and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified seafood; Hyatt said it will work towards purchasing more than 15 per cent of its supply from ASC certified farms and MSC certified fisheries.
Hyatt said it will also source from farms or fisheries involved in Aquaculture or Fishery Improvement Projects...
