Iceland's fisheries minister tells Grimsby not to expect more fish beyond the current 12,000 tonnes

New Icelandic Fisheries Minister Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson has embraced the "ever stronger" relationship with Grimsby, telling key partners there is plenty of well managed fish to serve the town's vital processors. Mr Johannsson officially opened Humber Seafood Summit alongside Seafish chair Elaine Hayes, with 200 industry and civic representatives listening intently to his every word.
Iceland remains the number one supplier to Grimsby Fish Market, with exports also going direct to the major companies that employ more than 3,000 people in the town.
He spoke of the ever-closer relationships between the communities, linked by the seafood supply chain, although a warning later came from an Icelandic industry expert for Grimsby not to expect any supply increases on the current 10,000 to 12,000 tonnes...
