Australia's abalone industry looking to create centralized database that would streamline management

Abalone industries throughout Australia are working together to create electronic data loggers as a more cost-effective and unified way of collecting data to better determine the needs of various states.
The plan to streamline the data collection process comes off the back of talks with New Zealand abalone industries at the recent convention in Queenstown.
"A group of us here in Australia are developing a project around determining the needs of the various states and New Zealand at three levels; management agency, stock assessment and industry," Abalone Industry Association of South Australia president Jonas Woolford said...
