Luke's Lobster opens its sixth Manhattan restaurant

Luke's Lobster is ready to kick off in midtown east with a new restaurant it opened yesterday.
"Obviously in Midtown there are tons of hungry people every day," said Ben Conniff, vice president of Luke's Lobster, a Saco, Maine-based seafood chain. "We thought that it was a unique and cool location that has a beautiful park where customers can eat and drink, and this project got us excited."
The restaurant at 685 Third Ave., with an entrance on East 43rd Street, will be the chain's sixth Manhattan location. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Customers will have access to up to 70 seats: 30 indoor plus as many as 40 outdoor seats that are part of the public plaza between two buildings...
