Second round pollock roe auction ends with lower prices, but big boost in revenue due to volume

The second round of the US pollock roe auction has been completed in Seattle at the end of last week, and the results are very favorable for Alaskan producers.
The second round saw total offerings of 6700 tons vs 7300 tons approximately in the first round.
Also the second round roe had more ‘mizuko’ roe (watery) and other lower quality roe being over mature or broken.
