Chinese White Shrimp Shortage Pushes Prices Higher, Even for Small Sizes this Winter

White shrimp deposit has plummeted in China, which has created an increase in prices recently. Most are 60 shrimp/jin (120/kg) or smaller, and quantities of large ones are limited. Prices remain high and those at 40 shrimp/jin (80/kg) are sold at between 30 and 40 yuan/jin (~$9.50 and $12.64/kg USD).
