Mixed Bag of West Coast Ocean Salmon Seasons Set for Public Review

Some commercial fishermen could see better ocean salmon seasons this year while others will likely see worse seasons, thanks to changes in actual returns in 2017 and forecast returns in 2018 on many West Coast rivers.
The Pacific Fishery Management Council began designing this year's salmon seasons at its meeting in Rohnert Park earlier this week. Almost none of the seasons are robust.
