TASMANIAN salmon farmers will need to get smarter at feeding and breeding fish as coastal water temperatures rise, a leading researcher has warned.
Chris Carter, a professor with the University of Tasmania’s Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, said the findings of a new IMAS study would serve as a guide to the industry on how to better adapt fish to water above 19C.
