Change Needed to Protect New Zealand Gulf

A new report, State of Our Gulf 2017, urges changes to protect the Hauraki Gulf.
Hauraki District Mayor John Tregidga, who is chair of the Hauraki Forum, says collective action needs to be taken to prevent degradation of the Gulf.
The triennial report, written by Dr Shane Kelly, shows fisheries indicators point to tmure (snapper) and rock lobster populations being well below target stock levels.
