Paul Lansbergen, President of the Fisheries Council of Canada (FCC), is urging the House of Commons Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to balance conservation objectives with socio-economic considerations.
The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans is studying Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), including the “criteria and process” of identifying and establishing MPAs.
