Japan Aiming to Export Over $8 Billion Worth of Seafood, Agriculture by 2019

TOKYO -- Aiming to bolster exports of farm products and seafood, Japan's government will help ports build refrigeration facilities, starting with six on the main northern island of Hokkaido.
The goal is to export 1 trillion yen ($8.86 billion) worth of agricultural and seafood products by 2019, up from 750 billion yen worth in 2016.
