Jackie Ventola Pleads Guilty to Income Tax Charges; Avoids Conspiracy Charges with Higher Penalties

Jackie Ventola, the former President of National Fish, a Pacific Andes Subsidiary in Gloucester, has pled guilty to 7 charges of tax evasion. However the plea deal releases him from the conspiracy, kick back, and wire fraud charges that could have brought a tougher sentence.
The government presented a revised indictment of Ventola in May of this year. In that indictment, the first count was of conspiracy with several other National Fish executives, to invoice National Fish for shrimp at inflated prices, and then get a kick back for 50% of the increased cost.
