Foreign Supplier Verification Likely To Top FDA’s Annual List of Food Safety Violations in 2018

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released their annual list of commonly cited food safety violations on Wednesday, but the top violations for 2017 is not what’s eye catching. In fact, the list is nearly identical to the most common violations in 2016 and 2015. It’s what the FDA is predicting will top the list in 2018 that’s interesting.
According to FDA consulting firm Registrar Corp, the most commonly cited food safety violations include: Lack of effective pest exclusion/ screening, sanitation monitoring, plant cleanliness, HACCP plan implementation and reasonable precautions.
