King County in Washington is seeking to suspend non-native salmon pens. Concerned about the threat to the native salmon population, King County Executive Dow Constantine is calling for a “six-month moratorium on allowing any new Atlantic fish farming facilities along marine shoreline in unincorporated King County.”
