SEAFOOD: Lobster Imports Lower in July; Led by Declines of In-Shell and Meat Products from Canada
Imports of warm water lobster tails are up 47.5 percent for the month of July and are now 22.5 percent higher year-to-date. July was the first month receiving new season production following the Brazil opening on June 1.
Imports of lobster products from Canada declined six percent for the month and remain 3.1 percent lower year-to-date. Live was up 53.8% for the month and three percent YTD.
