Cochran Adds Shrimp to Seafood Traceability Rules as Part of Senate Appropriations Bill

Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran, appropriations Chairman, and Richard Shelby, of Alabama, chair of the Commerce Justice and Science subcommittee, confirmed that they added language to the appropriations bill to make shrimp subject to the Seafood Import Monitoring Program. The appropriations bill was passed by the full committee yesterday.
