FDA Warned Hawaiian Tuna Distributor Over Insanitary Practices One Year Before Hepatitis Recall

A Hawaiian seafood distributor that issued a voluntary recall of imported ahi that tested positive for hepatitis A this week had also been warned by the Food and Drug Administration last year for problems with its HACCP plan.
The Hawaii State Department of Health was notified on May 2 of imported frozen raw tuna or ahi cubes distributed by Tropic Fish Hawaii, LLC on Oahu on that tested positive for hepatitis A.
