Shrimp Imports from India and Indonesia Continue Higher in January; Buoy 2.2% YTD Increase

The first round of monthly shrimp imports figures of 2017 showed continued strength in shipments from India and Indonesia.
As of January, total US shrimp imports were up 2.2 percent to 112.3 million pounds; roughly a 2.5 million pound bump compared to this time last year.
Indian shrimp imports continue to fuel the US market with shipments up 28.1 percent to 29.9 million pounds...
