Peruvian Anchovy Fishing Put on Temporary Hold With 20% of Quota Landed

About 20 percent of Peru’s anchovy quoted has been landed so far and fishing has been temporarily suspended to give more time for the fish to mature.
According to a notice from Peru’s Ministry of Production, the commercial anchovy fleet has landed 416,000 metric tons since the season started on November 15.
The fishery is operating under a 2 million metric ton quota based on a recommendation from Peru’s fishery science center IMARPE...
