Salmon Chile Makes Final Appeal to Try and Keep Chile Antibiotic Usage by Company Not Public

Chile's salmon producers used the highest amount of antibiotics per kg of salmon produced since 2007 during 2015, according to a
report published by Sernapesca responding to a court order, instigated by Oceana.
Sernapesca had published an annual report with the aggregate levels, but in June of this year, they published a detailed breakdown of antibiotic usage by company and growing area.
This is what is being objected to by Salmon Chile. The director of Sernapesca José Miguel Burgos said "There is growing concern from the public regarding the production processes of this industry, and it seems important to respond to this interest with the utmost transparency."
