Salmon and Cod Sales Help Norway's Seafood Exports Climb 25% in Value Through June

Better prices and demand have Norway's exported seafood earnings up 25 percent through the first half of the year.
According to data from Norway's Seafood Export Council, Norwegian seafood exports were valued at about $US5 billion through June this year, about $1 billion more over last year.
Sales growth was noted for both salmon and cod exports to overseas markets. Norwegian salmon shipments were valued at US$3.3 billion through June, a 28 percent increase from last year. Average prices were up, which offset declines in export volumes...
