The Russian salmon industry is on the verge of serious crisis, due to poor salmon catch this year, which may result in a shortage of fish in the domestic market.
According to predictions of analysts of Rosrybolovstvo, the catch of pink salmon and chum salmon in the Russian Far East and Sakhalin (center of Russian salmon production) this year is expected to be by 2-3 times less than during previous years.
