Hanwa, whose food division is a major trader in salmon, shrimp, crab and pollock, reported a difficult year in fiscal 2015. At a press conference last Friday, Hanwa President Hiroshige Furukawa said its consolidated operating income for fiscal 2015 ended last March suffered a setback over the previous year on decreased sales due to sluggish markets of petrochemical and steel products as well as losses incurred by its overseas subsidiaries.
