Fear of disease has caused some early harvest of small shrimp in Guangdong Province, leading to a decline in price for shrimp in the 100-300 per Jin range, and pressuring the overall market which has fallen about 7% in the past week.
Brood stocking has been postponed for about half a month and overall stocking rate has dropped by 20% to 30% in China this spring owing to frequently rainy days.
