Lobster, Crab and Coldwater Shrimp, three popular e-commerce seafood items, have been added to the official Chinese Government Cross Border e-commerce list.
This list was published in two parts in April, 2016. It is an effort by China to reduce the cross-border tax paid by consumers, and to close a loophole that allowed parcel shipments to avoid taxes when resold, i.e. when imported by wholesalers.
