Russian Federation may Slap Export tax on Fish Products, at Rate of $.30 per kg

Moscow- Russia is considering a duty on fish exports.
The Russian Association of Industrial and Commercial Fishing Enterprises, one of Russia’s public associations, which unites the country’s leading fish producers and processors of has called on the Russian Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) to introduce a duty on the exports of fish to abroad, according to recent statements of Alexey Aronov, executive director of the Association.
According to analysts of the Association, implementation of this measure will help to reduce prices on fish and seafood in the domestic market and to allocate additional funds to the Russian federal budget.
It is planned that the duty may be set at the level of US$ 30 cents per kilogram...
