Devi Seafoods Adds Feed Mill to Better Control Shrimp Operations and Improve Integration

Mumbai - Devi Seafoods, one of the largest seafood exporters in Andhra Pradesh is setting up new shrimp feed mill plant.
Sources in India said the new feed plant will have a capacity of 50,000 tons per year, and will be located in Visakhapatnam.
Devi has two reasons to expand into its own feed mill. First, a company source said the Indian government will be investing $450 million in the next five years on promoting aquaculture across coastal areas in Andhra Pradesh as well as other states. This planned expansion is one opportunity Devi believes they can undertake that will benefit from this planned expansion.
