Russia Plans to Catch 41,500 Tons of Snow Crab This Year, (24,500 of Opilio)

The Russian Federal Agency of Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo) has approved the planned volume of catch of snow crab in the Russian Far East for 2016, according to an official spokesman of Ilya Shestakov, head of Rosrybolovstvo.
According to Shestakov’s spokesman, this year these figures are set at the level of 41,500 tonnes, that is based on the recommendations of some leading Russian research institutions in the field of fisheries. This is slightly higher the limits of 2015 that were set at the level of 39,500 tonnes...
